This week our topic was "globalization." After all the disccussion we had about globalization and food, do you think globalization is a positive or negative thing? please explain your answers with examples.

YanıtlaSilI think globalization is a positive thing because you can share your culture the other countries.For example kebap restaurants are very popular in foreign countries.Also we have foreign restaurants like Mc Donalds, Quick China and Big Chefs. Thanks to globalization we can learn the other countries cultures, local foods.In addition, we have opportunity to experiment with foreign foods.
YanıtlaSilI think that globalization is a positive thing. Because, thanks to globalization; - World wide variety of hundreds of thousands of new jobs have been created.

I think it’s a good thing that we can access all around the world. There are lots of foreign restaurants in our country so we can try all these new cuisines. And then there is IT communication. Thanks to that, we can learn new things about other countries and other cultures.
YanıtlaSilFirst of all sorry about the delay Mrs. Aydan. In my opinion globalization is a positive thing. There are many positive effects of globalization but the most important one is that globalization connects different cultures in one place like food! For example we could have an Italian cappuccino for breakfast then we could have a Chinese noodle for lunch and finally we could have an American cheeseburger for dinner. That is the most simple thing that globalization has brought to our lives. In summary globalization is a part of our lives, we must accept it and try to make it better.
YanıtlaSilGlobalization gives us a lot of opportunity. It diversifies mostly everything which we look for and food is a great example for that. Now, people can find every kinds of food they want to eat. For example, I can eat ramyun (a traditional Korean food ^^) when I am watching a K-drama. Another opportunity is that, you can taste the cuisine of the country which you're planning to go and you can be experienced about the foods of the country before you go. So, it's a positive thing.
YanıtlaSilIn contrast, it makes everywhere similar. You can eat a Mongolian or a Spanish food in Turkey, too. Even in Italy you can taste the same foods. In future, there will not be any difference between countries except ancient buildings, in my opinion. So, it has negative effects, too.
Of course, globalization is a positive thing due to different reasons. Firstly, thanks to globalization, we meet a lot of people and we can learn their cultures. Other thing is we should learn different types of food due to being well-informed person. For example, we mustn't eat same foods so we can taste a lot of foods. According to some research, people should taste different meals. In this situation, people can be pleased. That's why, globalization is important things for everybody.
YanıtlaSilIt's a positive thing to learn other cultures in many ways. From the food to the music... I can't even think a world without pasta or hamburger. If globalization wasn't exist it would be much harder to even communicate with other people. Or we all watch foreign series and it's very helpful to learn another language and being able to communicate with other culture's people. So it really helps us in many ways, in my opinion.
YanıtlaSilI would say both in some ways its positive like import/export goods, taking goods from another country if you can't grow it. But in negative ways some companies started to being monopoly at their jobs and they became a really powerful multinational organizations. That is why some countrier started the lose their traditions.
YanıtlaSilSorry I am late. In my opinion, globalization is to share our own cuisine, brands and a lot of things with all over the world without boundaries. Also, we can reach knowledge about foreign culture and many things easily thanks to globalization. Of course, because of these reasons it is significant and helpful for all of us.

For instance, when a global brand enters new countries, it comes with many campeigns to attract attention of people. Related to this, domestic companies have to raise their standarts and customer satisfaction levels in order to survive in the market. Thus, we can buy more quality products. The another positive thing is spread of culture. in the past, people's opportunities were limited so people who wonder other cultures could not reach these kinds of informations. however, thanks to globalization, curious people can easily learn many things about other cultures using the various ways. In short, i think globalization is a positive thing due to these reasons.
